When A Movie Captures Your Heart - "WILD"

“The universe, I’d learned, was never, ever kidding. It would take whatever it wanted and it would never give it back.” -Cheryl Strayed, Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail

I never knew that I would love a biographical drama film. As a movie addict, I love watching action, thriller and comedy movies, but “Wild” truly captured my heart based on Cheryl Strayed’s Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail. Reese Witherspoon portrayed the character of Cheryl Strayed who decides to hike a thousand miles alone to heal her broken heart, the death of her mother and unruly behavior.

Wild is a movie everyone can relate to. It depicts healing a broken heart in all forms and getting to know yourself better by experiences. It may be a painful experience which turns into fear, and maybe most of the time people around you thinks that you are strong enough to handle everything.

And yes! Being strong is the only option we have. The only choice to face our fears. A person of strength and wisdom to know that you can forgive yourself for being so strong. Strong in the sense of always choosing the path of walking alone, solving your own trials, choosing the path of not being weak because you always think you can. And yes! We should be thankful because from those experiences we become a better person.

Struggles are part of life. We are not perfect, but at the end of the day we learn. It is a process which becomes your wealth that cannot be taken away from you. Things that you realize you have taught yourself. A certain time in our lives finding ourselves broken and in picking up those pieces, we find our true strength.

The scene in the movie when her mother died took me back when I last saw my father at the hospital. Cheryl Strayed gave me a clearer view of how good life is when you learn acceptance. When you learn to let of someone you love the most in the hard way. But as Strayed's saying goes, "Accept that someday what pains you now will surely pain you less." And that "Acceptance is a quiet room."

Thank you for this movie. Wild will be an inspiration for us woman, in gauging how strong we are. If you know the road that you will be taking in times of trouble, and if you can handle yourself more than the obstacles along the journey. A must see movie for hikers too. I have learned something from the movie about shoe sizes. (haha)

You really don't have to figure out everything. As the song goes by the Script: "When you've been fighting for it all your life. You've been working every day and night, that's how a superhero learns to fly. Every day, every hour turn the pain into power." Ending this by the quotes of my favorite author Cheryl Strayed.

“Your life will be great and unfolding.” So, “tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one WILD and PRECIOUS life?”

My indomitable strength carried me here. Headstrong. Meditate.
