Last July 19, 2009, I decided to go for Zip Lining with my closest friend and sister Kenzy at the top of Lignon Hill located at Daraga Albay. I was thinking that I have fear on heights, but it was me afraid of a cave. We went up the hill, excited and enjoyed our company seeing changes at Lignon Hill such as: Rappelling, Wall Climbing, Firefly and Lava watching and Airsoft that will soon operate this coming September 2009.The crew were friendly and nice. They just needed more manpower.
Zip lining is an extreme sport. And I never thought that I can make it because it is a media term for certain activities perceived as having a high level of inherent danger, which often involves speed, height, high level of physical exertion, highly specialized gear or spectacular stunts. (Wheew). I asked myself, “How safe is it to try terrifying stunts like this in the Philippines, manned by us?” (We paid P200.00 for it, P100.oo for the 300 meters slide and another P100.00 for the 200 meters Zip slide.) Thank God, it’s safe enough when we tried. Now I can say that it was an achievement for me! It was an adrenaline rush but on the side-note it was also a stress free sport for me.
I am in love with Zip Lining and I can’t wait for that 1000 meters zip lining at Tabaco City Mayon Planetarium. Hmm.. That wall climbing and rappelling will have to wait for me too. I told Kenzy that if there was Bungee Jumping here I will go for it too. I had a great day! Need to say that it was a tough working day for me, July 20-24, so I’m planning to fly up in the sky again. “FLYING FOX” I AM. Until my next adventure.
